Hitchcock's 1958 thriller, filmed in San Francisco. Scottie (James Stewart) suffers from fear of heights, which forced him to take early retirement from his job as a police detective. Rather than settling down with the dynamic Midge, he takes on a private job - and finds himself mesmerised by 'Madeleine', the woman he's been hired to follow.
